azul is inspired by the waves of the ocean crashing against the shores of cape town. the deep folds in the linen capture the movement and power of the water, while the calm indigo blue color reflects the serenity of the sea. the handmade clay coating adds an earthy texture, as if the coastline itself has been embedded into the canvas.
